Read letter Nova Scotia Board of fire Underwriters, as follows:-

 

 Halifax, January 7th, 1919

 Dear Sir:-

 

According to an item in the daily newspapers the Union Protection Company has notified the city, that, after May 1st next, this organization as a Salvage Corp will cease to exist.

I will be obliged if you will kindly let me know if this organization has given the city notice to this effect, and if so, what steps are being taken to what is proposed being done to provide a salvage Corp after May 1st next?

The city clerk is instructed to inform the board of fire Underwriters that the city has been notified by the Union Protection Company that they will cease to exist as a salvage Corp after May 1st 1919 and that this board and the Chief of the Fire Department have the matter under consideration.
